What is self storage?

At 4 Secure Self Storage our facilities have a selection of room sizes that you can rent, from a space as small as a locker up to the size of a garage, on a short or long term basis. You bring your goods or possessions to the storage facility, lock them in the room and come and go as you please during our opening hours. You are the only key holder. You can store almost anything unless it is perishable, living or flammable.

All our storage facilities have fully trained customer service advisors who will show you around the facility, answer any queries and questions you might have and give guidance and advice. If it's not convenient for you to drop in then please do not hesitate to contact us by telephone or email.
 

How does Self Storage at 4 Secure Self Storage work?

You can store your goods or possessions with us for a day, weeks, months or years-however long you need. Storage rooms can be booked in advance to make sure the size you require is available on the day you need it. You can also easily switch to a smaller or larger room whilst in storage if you need to. Self storage at 4 Secure is flexible, secure and hassle free, in fact it couldn't be any easier, our one-stop-shop approach means our customer service advisors will deal with any problem you might have.  Our customer service advisors are trained to help and advise you to make sure you get the best service and value for money.
 

What kind of security do you have at 4 Secure Self Storage?

We take the security of your goods and possessions extremely seriously. To protect them all our facilities have staffed receptions, sophisticated BT Redcare alarm systems, 24hr CCTV surveillance and full perimeter fencing. Access to our storage facilities is strictly controlled. Also, you are the only one with access to your room, which is locked with a padlock owned by you.
 

Do I need my own padlock?

Yes, you need your own padlock to ensure that you are the sole key holder for your room and to ensure that your room is securely locked at all times. 4 Secure Self Storage sell a range of locks in our on site Box Shops.
 

How much does it cost?

The price you pay is dependent on the size of the room you need. It is our commitment to get you into the smallest space possible. The rental charge is calculated according to the floor area of the storage room, the smaller the floor area the less you will pay.

Estimating the space you need isn't as simple and straightforward as it looks. There are factors to consider first which may affect the size of the room you require, such as:

- What you need to store
- Whether your items can be stacked or not
- How high the ceiling of the storage room is
- Whether you need leave a walkway through the storage room to get to your possessions.

Our customer service advisors will advise you on how to stack your goods and possessions to make maximum use of the space.

Do you have a minimum rental period?

No, you can store for a day, long weekend, weeks, months or years!
 

What is included in the price - are there any hidden extras?

The price for storage you are quoted includes VAT. You will need a padlock to secure your room and we do require your goods to be insured whilst they are in storage.
 

Do you offer any discounts?

Yes, our King's Lynn and Thetford facility offer the 1st month storage at price, our Norwich facility offers the 1st month and 2nd month at price.

How do I pay for my storage room?

We accept credit and debit cards. Unfortunately we can not accept cash.  Most of our customers choose to pay by standing order which we require you to set up with your bank.
 

Do I pay weekly or monthly?

We'll invoice you on a per calendar month basis, payable in advance. We have no notice period and when you vacate your room we will refund to you any unused storage charges.
 

How long can I stay?

You are welcome to stay as long as you require.
 

How often can I have access to my goods?

You can come and go as you please, as many times as you need to during our opening hours,  our King's Lynn and Thetford facility have reception opening hours of Monday-Friday 8.30am-5.00pm, Saturday's and Bank holidays 9.00am-1.00pm, Our Norwich facility has reception hours of Monday-Friday 8.30am-5.00pm and Bank holidays 9.00am-1.00pm, however, we offer 24/7 access at our Norwich facility.

We also have 24/7 access available for containerised storage only at our King's Lynn and Thetford facilities.
 

How quickly can I move in?

You can move in on the same day as you make your enquiry (during office opening hours) providing that you have the relevant documentation needed to complete and sign your contract. The first month invoice will be raised on the day you move in and must be paid in advance.
 

What do I need to open a contract?

Two forms of ID are required one of which must be a photo ID (passport or driving licence) and a utility bill.
 

Do I need insurance?

Yes, your goods must be insured whilst in storage. 4 Secure Self Storage offer a tailored insurance according to your needs. Prices start from 4.50 per calendar month and we will need an accurate declared value of the goods and possessions.
 

How do I get my goods to you?

You have to bring your belongings to the storage facility. All our facilities have a van on site that you can hire- terms and conditions apply, ask a customer service advisor for more details. Our facilities have ample car parking and indoor loading/unloading areas. Or, we can happily recommend a local removal company.
 

Can I transfer to another room if I need more or less space?

You can easily move to another size room at any time, depending on your storage requirements and the availability of other room sizes in the storage facility.
 

What if I have booked and my plans are delayed?

No problem, just let us know about the changes and we will extend or amend your booking.
 

Do you have trolleys or fork lifts available?

All our facilities have trolleys and sack-barrows available for our customers to use free of charge. We only have a forklift service available at our Thetford facility.
 

How high are your storage rooms?

Room heights at our facilities vary from 7-9ft.  Ask an advisor at your chosen store and they will be able to advise you of the room heights
 

Do you offer storage for business?

Yes, we offer flexible contracts for short or long term Self Storage. There is no minimum stay.
 

Do you have WiFi?

Yes, all facilities are fully equipped with free access to WiFi.
 

Can I book online?

We do not have an online booking service yet, but you can book a storage room at any of our facilities with our customer service advisors.
 

Can I store in a number of stores?

Yes, you can store in as many of our storage facilities as you need, however, each will be on a separate contract.
 

Can I change the storage facility?

You can move to another one of our storage facilities as you wish subject to room availability. Remember you will be responsible for moving your own items from one facility to another.
